OVER & OUT (2022)

This devised play explores the journey to Body Utopia - a place no one has yet discovered and where people wish to be. We look at the intense and never ending messages that shape and influence how we think about our bodies. It makes visible the excruciating efforts to change the body in hope of achieving love and acceptance.

"Over and Out" is the expression of these experiences told by the ones who are affected by it the most. Meaning anyone who lives in a body that does not conform to the idealized standards of beauty in Western culture. This Ethnodrama emerges from a collection of personal narratives that sheds light on the unseen struggles that haunt us every. single. day.
