Teaching Positions

Community Education to Community Theater

DramaLab

South Suburban Community Education

Through DramaLab, I have taught over 100 children at around a dozen schools. These co-corricular classes consist of learning acting fundamentals, participating in a variety of theater games, then devising our own short play at the end of the session.

Ashland ACT!

"Giants in the Sky," "Space Pirates"

Ashlands ACT! program sends out a dozen directors to various schools without theater programs, then gives them the opportunity to perform at their stage in Maplewood. I have directed the past two years at Carver and Otter Lake Elementary. This involved casting 40+ students into the provided shows, then teaching all the materials for them to be successful onstage.

Choreography

"Junie B. Jones, Jr.," "Finding Nemo Jr."

I had the opportunity to Choreography two main stage shows at Ashland Productions. Julie B. Jones Jr. ranged from 3rd-7th grade, and Finding Nemo Jr. 6th-8th. Both of these productions managing at least 40 students onstage.

Orno Summer Camp

Devising Fairy Tales

4 Community Theater hired me to teach a week long camp for ages 3rd-5th. This camp focused on the students ability to reimagine classic tales and perform them in their own way. The students had 3 stories to tell, where they played a leading role in 1 story, then supporting players in the other 2. This collaboration ensured that everyone was participating at all levels.
